As with all of MOBILE MARINE MODELS products, the precision propshafts are designed & manufactured, in house, at the unique factory complex we call The Boat Shed.


 



Precision Propshafts




The Precision STERNTUBES are from 'thick-walled' brass tube, and the shafts from marine grade machineable STAINLESS STEEL. All tubes are fitted with precision 'longer-than-normal' bearings, ( manufactured here at The Boat Shed ), giving longer life & smoother running, in all applications, including salt water !

Meeting the demand for 'that' heavier, more robust shaft for the larger boats with bigger motors, larger props, MMM, after much research & testing, introduced the SuperSmooth Eightİ.

With it's massive bearing surfaces, large thick-walled brass tubing & 8mm stainless steel shaft, turned one end & threaded M5 so as to except a 'standard' threaded prop, the SSE is the ultimate in smooth running.

MaxLine shafts, available in M6 or M8 thread,so as to accommodate the largest of props, are the Ultimate in the heavyweight class of propulsion systems. Using the same technology of the Super Smooth Eight. MMM have taken Running Gear to the next level of excellence.
Threaded both ends and using the same size 12.5 mm / 1/2" outer thick-walled Brass Tube, the 6mm solid Stainless steel shaft (M6) has a precision machined bearing suface in excess of 625 sq,mm., whilst the M8 version, with it's solid 8mm dia. Stainless steel shaft, has a massive 800 plus sq.mm of precision machined bearings..... The MaxLine ...... Giving the ultimate in smooth running.

.... and The Kort-Eze©.....

As many modellers know from bitter experience, once a kort nozzle has been fitted, it is very, very difficult, for whatever reason, to remove the nozzle from the boat...... for the shaft ( has too ) protudes into the kort.

The design team at MMM have come up with the answer.... The Kort-Eze© .... a precision sterntube that actually collapses to allow the easy removal of the nozzle.... AND, more important....... the easy re-installation of the nozzle & tube.

Built to the same high standards, The Kort-Eze© design is available over the whole range of SlimLine©; Heavy Duty©, SuperSmooth Eight© & MaxLine© propshafts.
