The BRACKENGARTH, and sistership HOLLYGARTH, built by Appledore Shipyards, entered service during the latter 60's and served the Mersey for more than 25 years.
Owned and operated by Rea's Towing, later to be taken-over by Cory Towage Ltd, these two boats were single screw, in a steerable kort nozzle, driven by two main engines, which could be 'run' independently, through a central gearbox, thus giving the tug tremendous power.
This large volume boat, perhaps the largest 1:32nd scale tug available, is a real workhorse.
With a choice of powerful 90 or 110 mm THRUSTMASTER Power Kort and a choice of either THRUSTMASTER Heavy Duty or THRUSTMASTER MaxLine propshaft, the BRACKEN is a powerhorse of unrivalled strength.

As with all Mobile Marine Models boats the Brackengarth is available under the Budget Building System.
GRP detailed hull finished in our Rust coloured GelCoat (scratch the paint and rust shows through) with wood or plastic deck and superstructure.
